How to List Projects on Your Resume (With Examples)

Projects are often the strongest proof of your skills when you have little or no work experience. Listing them clearly and impactfully matters.

What to include for each project

  • Project name and 1-line description.
  • Tech stack (languages, frameworks, tools).
  • Your role (solo / team, what you built).
  • 1–2 bullet points with outcome or impact (e.g. users, performance, feature).

Example

E-commerce Dashboard (React, Node.js, MongoDB) — Built product listing and cart; integrated Razorpay. Reduced checkout time by 40% in user testing. (Solo project.)

Link to live demo or GitHub if relevant. Use keywords from the job description in your project text. An ATS resume check can show if your projects are coming through clearly to systems and recruiters.
